Created by multi award-winning bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana A.K.A Mr. Lyan (World’s Best Bartender 2015, Most Influential Britons 2017, Personality of the Decade 2017) to challenge the traditional bar set up and to create a bar that borrowed from the heritage of Sea Containers house and its iconic location along the River Thames.
The focus of Dandelyan has always been on bringing a neighbourhood vibe to the glamour of Mondrian London. Our team, the menu and the ethos have always been focused on making an unusual and exciting offering accessible as well as bringing a sense of fun to proceedings! We play a mixture of late 70s and early 80s rock, funk and disco with our favourite DJs playing each weekend and a focus on hip hop for Sunday Lyan, our Sunday evening wind down.
The outcome of our latest yearlong brainstorm, the ‘Vices of Botany’ cocktail menu explores our love of exploitation, escapism and the full spectrum of our guilty pleasures. Divided into four sections: Faith, Lust, Currency and Rock ‘n’ Roll; Vices of Botany serves both Dandelyan originals and refined interpretations of the classics, with boozeless cocktails enjoying equal attention.
Complementing the imaginative cocktail creations, Dandelyan’s striking interiors were designed with flair by legendary British designer Tom Dixon. A sumptuous, Art Deco–inspired space that references the luxurious cruise liners of generations past. Dandelyan boasts lavender-hued leather banquettes, velour lounge chairs, and an assortment of mirrored tables against a backdrop of green walls. Alongside this unexpected colour palette runs a dark green marble bar cut from one solid piece, while gold and brass accents also feature generously throughout.
Dandelyan is a bar that suits many occasions and times of the day – from our alcoholic take on afternoon tea – Wyld Tea – to early evening into late night, welcoming intimate groups and larger bookings alike. The space gets pretty busy though, so we do advise booking in advance.
